Want to practice your Croatian? Meetup with others in your area who are also interested in the Croatian culture. All ages and levels of proficiency are welcome!
The New England Friends of Croatia (NEFC), a non-profit organization for people intersted in sharing and establishing ties with Croatia, (www.nef-croatia.org) organizes Croatian film screenings (with English subtitles) on last Sundays in a month (with some exceptions)at the Coolidge Corner Theater. For the current schedule check out www.coolidge.org/worldcroatia. Movies are typically not rated as they are not released commercially in the USA, but are usually NOT appropriate for children.
The screenings are followed by the coffee & desserts time compliments of NEFC- perfect for meetups.

there is no FEE for the meeting, but the Coolidge Corner Theater obviously charges for the movie tickets. Theater holds 220 people.
It should be noted that most of the films in this series have been done in co-production between Croatian production houses with their counterparts in the neighbouring countries. Read more
